Mac McDowell

Mac graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy while also holding a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with a minor in nutrition.

While being very flexible for each client, Mac uses his additional certifications as a Yoga Teacher and Strength and Conditioning Coach to form an integrative whole-body approach to treatment.

From experience working with athletes looking to improve performance, seniors wanting to reduce pain and get back to doing what they love, office workers who want to feel lively and limber at their desk, to palliative care patients just looking for support and care, Mac enjoys working with clients from all walks of life.

He frequently uses postural as well as movement assessments to pin-point problem areas and educate those he works with so that they can free themselves of aches and pains and get back to living the life they want to lead. His techniques often include Dynamic stretching, PNF, Myofascial release, Swedish massage, Sports-based massage, Thai-based massage, as well as focused movement patterns to provide relief and restore balance in the body.

Mac believes that through treatment, education, and body awareness, everyone can find a new level of energy and health. His aim is to find the clearest path to this for each individual.

In his free time Mac enjoys music, skiing, road cycling, yoga, connecting with family and friends, as well as time spent in nature.
